Lyons Digital Media/Lyonshost.com A local provider of website and business email hosting
Lyons Digital Media hosts websites and email for businesses and associations. You can build your own website for less than $100/year or we can develop a website for you. We target projects budgeted between $2,000 and $6,000 and prefer projects under $10,000.
Your website should be working for you instead of you working on your website. To make that possible, we build websites that interact with your target audience allowing you to hone your message and collect information that you can use for contact, sales or fundraising. Call or contact us today to learn how we can help you reach your goals.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Lyons Digital Media was started in the summer of 1991.
What is your primary product or service?
We sell website hosting, business email, including HIPPA/GLBA compliant mail and website development for small businesses and associations and non-profits. Another key product we offer is website integration with social media and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Businesses need data to make smart choices and CRM, when done right is much more than contacts and sales. We are especially strong as CiviCRM integrators. Essentially, we can give any association, club or non-profit a world class system for managing donations, emails, membership and event registration. The best part is that all of those functions also build great data that can be mined by the organization for almost limitless reports to gain insights into their customers and constituents.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
At first it was an extension of our graphic design studio. We eventually brought a few websites in-house for hosting and it kind of expanded from there. In our fist year, we grew by about 100 websites. Now we manage eight servers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Even though this is a high tech field, we focus on relationships and people. We are at a point where technology is becoming less and less of a factor. We don't fight for the lowest prices because we want to be loyal to our own loyal clients. We've achieved that. Some of our clients even have our personal mobile numbers
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
My wife and I work from home. It gives us some flexibility. We also have a crew of contractors that we work with. The nature of our business doesn't require a lot of expensive infrastructure. We pass that savings to our clients.
Provide detailed directions to your location
As I said, we work from home, but we are always happy to meet clients at their offices or any other convenient location.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check or credit cards, though to be honest, we seldom see cash in our line of work.
Which areas do you service?
We are local providers in Tallahassee, but our customer base in International. Geography really isn't a factor in our work, but we do find that our local customers appreciated having someone local to call.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
My wife, Barbara and I (Jonathan Lyons) own and operate our business.
What are your hours of operation?
Servers don't sleep, but we have to. Sales and development work is limited to weekdays 9am to 6pm. Support is always open. Our office phone rings over to our mobile devices when we aren't in the office. There is a convenient online ticket system which is also available any time of day or night.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
What pleases me most is when a client tells me that we made their life easier.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
My favorite quote has to be, "Freedom of the press belongs to those who own one." That's what we do, we give our clients the freedom to express themselves and to build an audience.
A biblical verse? I'll go with the very beginning of Genesis during the creation. As each thing is created, the bible says "and it was good." That should always be our goal in business or website development. We should each make our own creations and be proud enough of the result to say it was good.
