Springtime Tallahassee was started in 1967 by a group of concerned citizens in response to the Florida Legislature’s proposal to move the capital from Tallahassee. Due to these roots, the event is a physical representation of southeastern history and culture. Regional arts and crafts are displayed at the Jubilee, a children’s park to delight the young and young at heart, “krewes” in period costume will be circulating throughout the event, and four different entertainment stages will feature local talent. The Annual Seafood Festival will also take place and feature Springtime Seafood with national entertainment. Past acts have included the Little River Band, Pure Prairie League, LoCash Cowboys, and Lorrie Morgan. All of these events result in a unique southeastern cultural experience.
